Seedling surprise

Fast growing seedlings under the grow lights

Our seedlings are doing amazingly well since transplanting to larger pots. Too well, in fact. In just 12 days they’ve outgrown their pots and are starting to show signs of stress.

But its too soon to bring them outside. Tomatoes are very sensitive to cold weather, and a frost will kill them. So these nightshades typically go in the ground a week after last frost (mid-May around here). They’ll just have to hang in there for another week or so.
