Teach Them Diligently

I had a few interviews this week with people I really admire. Leslie Nunnery is with Teach Them Diligently, a homeschooling organization that hosts conferences all over the country. This was one of my favorite interviews because we talked a lot about the faith perspective of Durable Trades, and how, in my opinion, family economies are the ideal context for passing on the faith to your children.

Becca joined me for a different interview with Israel Wayne, a long-time homeschooling speaker and author. Israel was very influential in our family when we were just starting to contemplate homeschooling. He makes a compelling case for Christian and home education. (His books Raising Them Up and Education: Does God Have an Opinion? are a good place to start.)

Rory Groves moved his family from the city to the country several years ago to begin the journey towards a more durable way of life. Rory and his wife Becca now reside in southern Minnesota where they farm, raise livestock, host workshops, and homeschool their six children. He is the author of Durable Trades: Family-Centered Economies That Have Stood the Test of Time.
